Marja Pudas serves as the Head of Unit of Employment, Education and Culture at the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment since 2013, with significant experience in hiring personnel. In addition, Marja is a Member of the National Board of Basic Skills at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland, since October 2019, and previously represented Finland in the Mutual Learning Service Team on behalf of the European Commission, focusing on upskilling pathways among EU countries from October 2018 to March 2019. A Fulbright grantee at Georgetown University in 2017, Marja specialized in career management skills and workforce predictions. With over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles related to employment policy, adult education, and labor market assessments, Marja has also contributed to the quality assurance processes at the Finnish Educational Evaluation Centre and held several positions within regional administration organizations, as well as serving in educational roles at the University of Oulu. Marja's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Area Planning Studies and various qualifications in adult education and management.
