Tommaso Canonici has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Previously, they were a Founding Partner and Managing Director at Opinno, a global innovation consulting firm, where they helped organizations navigate fundamental shifts. Tommaso also held roles such as VP of Opinno Ideas, where they built and led the consulting area, and Founding Partner and Managing Director of Opinno Europe. Tommaso was also a Partner at treeopen, an Opinno Company.

Tommaso Canonici has a diverse education history. In 2003, they obtained a degree in Internet & New Economy from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. In 2007, they pursued an executive MBA from EEN Escuela Europea de Negocios. Additionally, in 2010, they received a qualification in Innovation Management from FEDIT (Federación Española de Centros Tecnológicos). Tommaso also engaged in the Yuzz Entrepreneurship Program in 2009, which they won, organized by Fundación Banesto in partnership with Telefónica, Intel, Junior Achievement, IE Business School, and Esade Creápolis. In recent years, Tommaso furthered their knowledge with short-term programs. Tommaso completed a course in Disruptive Strategy with Clayton Christensen at Harvard Business School Online in 2017 and a program on Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018.
