Lukass Franklin

Lukass Franklin has a strong background in data engineering and database administration. Lukass is currently serving as the Staff Engineer and Director of Data Engineering at OppFi, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, Lukass worked as a Staff Engineer at OppFi from August 2021 to June 2022 and as a Database Administrator from July 2018 to August 2021. In addition to their roles at OppFi, Lukass has held various positions at other companies, including serving as a Contract Database Specialist at SVM in 2018 and as a Senior Data Architect at Legacy.com in 2017. From 2015 to 2017, Lukass worked as a Tech and Innovation Fellow and Senior Data Architect at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Lukass also has experience as a Principal at Lumatila, LLC from 2006 to 2015, a Contract Software Architect/Developer at the National 4-H Council from 2012 to 2015, a Consultant at Charles River Web Connections from 2007 to 2012, a Data Warehouse Contractor at U.S. Cellular from 2008 to 2012, and the CTO of BVM Olenti, Inc. from 2000 to 2006. Lukass started their career as the VP of R&D at Gooitech, Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Overall, Lukass Franklin has a wealth of experience in data engineering, database administration, and software architecture across various industries.

From 1984 to 1987, Lukass Franklin attended the University of Chicago, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.
