Heather Brown

WIC Coordinator/Program Manager at OPPORTUNITIES FOR OTSEGO INC

Heather Brown has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2000 when they worked as a Student Assistant to the Vice President and Dean of Liberal Arts at SUNY Broome Community College. In 2001, they worked as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World, and in 2002, they became a Student Worker at CADI - SUNY Delhi Campus Store. In 2004, they took on the role of Group Sales Associate at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. From 2006 to 2013, they worked at Sodexo as a Supervisor, where they managed money, provided customer service, supervised employees, managed the operation, prepared food, cleaned, ordered product, participated in hiring, completed inventory and whatever else was asked of her. In 2013, they became a Special Diet Coordinator at Cooperstown Dreams Park, where they created menus for players, coaches and staff while they were at the park, as well as communicated with the cooks about the meals and allergies coming each week. Heather maintained inventory, ordered special diet foods as necessary and even went to the local grocery store for special items not on hand. Finally, in 2015, they took on the roles of WIC Coordinator/Program Manager and WIC Nutritionist at Opportunities For Otsego Inc.

Heather Brown has a diverse educational background, beginning with an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) from SUNY Broome Community College, which they obtained between 1999 and 2002 in the field of Marketing and Sales and Travel and Tourism Management. Heather then went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the State University of New York at Delhi between 2002 and 2004 in Tourism and Travel Services Management. Finally, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) from SUNY Oneonta between 2010 and 2015 in Dietetics/Dietitian. In addition, Brown obtained a ServSafe certification from the National Restaurant Association in March 2014.
