Alba Castillo

Alba C. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alba began their career as an Underwriter and Processor at The New York Mortgage Company, Greenpoint Mortgage, and Indymac Bank from June 2003 to August 2008. Following that, they worked as a Mortgage Underwriter at People's United Bank from June 2009 to January 2010. Alba then joined the US Census Bureau and US Department of Commerce as a Crew Leader and Recruiting Assistant from January 2009 to June 2010. Alba subsequently worked as a Mortgage Processor at Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan from July 2010 to December 2010. Alba also held the position of Kiva Fellowship (Microlending) at Kiva.org from August 2011 to December 2011. Alba later became a Research Associate at Yale University's Consultation Center from August 2010 to June 2012. Alba then served as an Office Manager and Real Estate Legal Secretary at the Law Office of Nathaniel W. Shipp, LLC from June 2012 to December 2016. Alba joined the Housing Development Fund as a Business Development Officer in January 2017 and worked there until April 2019. Alba is currently employed at Opportunity Finance Network, where they started in April 2019 as a Senior Associate, Programs and was promoted to Vice President of Member Relations in March 2022.

Alba C. pursued their education at the University of Bridgeport from 2009 to 2012, where they completed a Master of Arts degree in Global Development. Before that, they attended Rosemont College from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government.
