Professor Gary McEwan

Professor Gary McEwan serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Elevator UK since November 2008, leading the organization to become Scotland's largest private sector business support entity. In addition to this role, Gary McEwan is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Elevator Foundation, established in November 2021, which focuses on supporting young entrepreneurs. As a Professor of Entrepreneurship at both the University of Aberdeen and the University of Dundee, Gary McEwan works to embed entrepreneurship within academic curricula and collaborates on initiatives to position the University of Dundee as the leading entrepreneurial institution in the country. Additional involvements include serving as a Scottish Council Member for The Prince's Trust and as a Digital & Entrepreneurship Board Member for Opportunity North East Limited, emphasizing the development of a balanced regional economy. Gary McEwan also contributed to Pay.UK's End User Advisory Council until November 2021, focusing on essential payment systems.
