Tracy Brown-May has extensive work experience in various roles spanning different organizations. At Opportunity Village, Tracy served as the Chief Administrative Officer and previously held the position of Director of Advocacy, Board & Government Relations. Tracy's responsibilities included government relations, legislative tracking, family advocacy, and board member engagement. Tracy also managed all board administration and communications, as well as produced informational materials to support executive office initiatives. Prior to joining Opportunity Village, Tracy worked at Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall as an Employee Development Manager. In this role, Tracy was responsible for management development training for the executive and management team and facilitated various training classes. Additionally, Tracy was a certified alcohol awareness trainer for Boyd Gaming Corporation. Currently, Tracy is an Assemblywoman for Nevada AD42 in the State of Nevada.
Tracy Brown-May's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on American Government and Politics from Northeastern University. Tracy attended Northeastern University from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, Tracy earned an Associate of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the College of Southern Nevada, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Tracy also graduated from Ware High School in 1985.
In addition to their formal education, Tracy has obtained several certifications. Tracy completed various online courses on innovation, risk-taking, team creativity, and listening skills through LinkedIn in August 2020. Tracy also completed a course on improving listening skills in January 2020, as well as an influencer interview course featuring Oprah Winfrey in April 2020.
