Jared Oxley

Jared Oxley has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. Jared is currently working as the Director of Information Technology at OPSWAT, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as an Information Security Architect at OPSWAT from May 2022 to December 2022.

Before joining OPSWAT, Jared worked at Marine Corps Systems Command as a Project Officer from May 2019 to August 2022. Jared provided valuable expertise to executive, engineering, logistical, and administrative personnel, impacting future cybersecurity, data center, and network device procurements. Jared'scontributions included reducing license costs by over ten million dollars annually and assisting in the development of future virtual boundary architecture.

Jared also has experience in the military, having served in various roles within the U.S. Marine Corps. Jared was a Cyber Networks Operations Engineer at 1st Marine Division from October 2016 to April 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Cyber Network Operations Officer at U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command (MARFORCYBER) from October 2014 to September 2016. In this role, they were responsible for determining cyber defensive mechanisms for USMC networks worldwide and assisted in the development of future plans.

Jared's earlier experience includes serving as a Student in the Warrant Officer Basic Course at TBS, India Co., USMC from January 2014 to October 2014. Jared also worked as a Cyber Security Officer/Cyber Security Manager at Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38 from June 2009 to December 2013. In this role, they maintained accountability of over 120 personnel and supported the deployment and maintenance of networks in multiple locations.

Jared's career began as a Computer Systems Administrator at the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit from January 2003 to May 2009. Overall, Jared Oxley possesses a strong background in IT and cybersecurity, with significant experience in leadership roles and contributing to the development of innovative solutions.

Jared Oxley completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Cyber Security with a specialization in Ethical Hacking and Pen Testing from National University, starting in 2015 and finishing in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management from the same university, studying from 2009 to 2013.
