Charlie Rance

Charlie Rance has a diverse work experience, starting in 2011 as a Technician at Mercedes-Benz of Beaconsfield. In 2015, they joined Tesla as a Vehicle Technician and later became the Lead Diagnostic Technician until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, Charlie worked at Five AI Inc. as a Field Application Engineer, specifically focusing on Autonomous Vehicles. In 2020, they joined Arrival as a Service Engineering Lead and later took on the role of Product Manager for the Artificial Intelligence Platform and Engineering. In 2022, Charlie became the Head of Product at Arrival before joining Opteran in 2023 as the Chief Product Officer.

Charlie Rance began their education at Dr Challoners Grammar School, where they studied GCSE from 2005 to 2010. Later, in 2019 and 2020, they attended Udacity, obtaining a Self Driving Car Nanodegree in Computer Software Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Charlie has also obtained several certifications including Driver Assistance Specialist UK and Ireland from Tesla in 2016. Charlie is also accredited by ATA, certified in Air conditioning F-Gas Qualification, and has undergone High Voltage Awareness Training. Charlie has also completed an IMI NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship In Light Vehicle Repair and holds a Level 1 In MIG Welding certification from City and Guilds. Furthermore, they have certifications in Linux and Network Administration from City, University of London, and is a certified Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Technician. Charlie is also qualified to fit TRACKER Products from TRACKER Network (UK) Ltd.
