Brendan Maupin Wynn is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership, project management, and diversity initiatives. As Past Chair and Events Committee Chair of QVA (The University of Virginia's Queer Alumni Network) since 2015, Brendan has facilitated the transition of the Events Committee while previously serving as Board Chair, where responsibilities included driving fundraising and enhancing DEI & LGBTQ policies at the University of Virginia from 2015 to 2023. Currently, as a Project Manager at Optica, Brendan designs and manages strategic processes to advance the field of optics and photonics. Previous roles include a Graduate Student Intern at the U.S. Department of State and a Program Assistant at the University of Virginia, where significant contributions to minority STEM graduation rates were made. Brendan has also demonstrated a strong commitment to LGBTQ advocacy through program development at the University of Virginia and leadership within Virginia21. With a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor's Degree in Government and Psychology from the University of Virginia, Brendan combines educational expertise with practical experience.
