Sherrie Waters

Sherrie Waters, APM has been in the financial services industry since 2005. Sherrie began their career at Bravo Credit Corporation as a Mortgage Loan Processor. In 2006, they moved to Medical Automation Systems as a Field Support Tech/Contracts Specialist. In 2008, they returned to the financial services industry as an Associate Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual. In 2012, they joined SunTrust Mortgage as a Capital Markets, Product Manager for Housing Finance Agency Programs and Downpayment Assistance, where they conceptualized and deployed enhanced product features and developed product documentation. Sherrie also served as a Business Analyst/Project Manager, managing project implementation and communication with impacted stakeholders. In 2016, they moved to Northwestern Mutual as an Associate Wealth Management Advisor. In 2020, they joined Truist as an SVP, Capital Markets, Product Manager Housing Finance Agency and Mortgage Insurance, and an AVP, Capital Markets, Portfolio Product Design Lead, responsible for oversight of published product eligibility and lending guidelines. Most recently, in 2022, they joined OptiFunder as a Product Strategy Manager.

Sherrie Waters, APM holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Randolph-Macon College, which they obtained between 1997 and 2001. In December 2021, they obtained a Certified SAFe® 5 Agile Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
