Aparna Rolfe has a wealth of work experience in the engineering field. Aparna began their career in 2007 as a Mechanical Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, where they designed inkjet printer parts to maintain printhead cleanliness and ran tests to evaluate printhead performance over printer life. In 2008, they moved to NormaTec, where they worked closely with the CEO as the sole Mechanical Engineer to design medical pneumatic compression devices, and they redesigned the first generation device to include increased functionality with a 50% cost reduction and 30% weight reduction. Aparna also designed two new products based on the same technology for different market segments. In 2012, they joined Intelligent Bio-Systems as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2015, they worked as a Computer Engineering Research Intern at Boston University CIDAR Lab, and in 2016 they worked as a Computer Networking Lab Assistant at Boston University. In 2017, they joined Sense as an Engineering Manager and Software Engineer, and in 2022 they moved to Optimal Dynamics as a Software Engineer.
Aparna Rolfe has a strong educational background. Aparna completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) between 2001 and 2005. Following that, they obtained their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 2007. More recently, they earned their Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Boston University in 2017.
