Janika Blömeke

Janika Blömeke has diverse work experience in the fields of research, innovation, and physiotherapy. Janika is currently employed at OptiMedis AG, where they hold the position of Deputy Head of Research & Innovation since February 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at the same company as a Senior Manager from January 2022 to January 2023, and as a Manager from June 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining OptiMedis AG, Janika was a Research Assistant at Universitätsklinikum Hamburg Eppendorf from September 2016 to June 2020. Janika also gained experience as a Physiotherapist at Praxis Am Semperplatz from March 2017 to April 2020, and at PRO Physio from April 2014 to May 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Research Intern at Universitätsklinikum Hamburg Eppendorf from January 2015 to June 2015, and as a Physiotherapist at Reha Wandsbek from October 2012 to July 2013.

Janika Blömeke earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy from the European University of Applied Sciences, Brühl in 2013. Following that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Health Science from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences between 2013 and 2016. Later, they pursued a PhD in the non-medical PhD program at the University of Hamburg, specializing in a field unknown at the moment, and successfully completed it in 2019, obtaining the degree of Dr. rer. biol. hum.
