Evan Osterlund has a diverse work experience, beginning with Fred Meyer in 2002, where they worked as an Associate, performing brick & motor retail duties and building and garden yard operations. In 2005, they were a Farm Hand at McKee River Ranch, where they worked with heavy equipment and was involved in harvest operations, seed cleaning, blending, and warehousing. In 2007, they were a Safety/Project Coordinator at SnoTemp Cold Storage. From 2008-2010, they were a Member of the Mid-Valley Local Emergency Planning Committee, where they participated in planning for emergency situations. In 2010, they began working at Portland Public Schools as a Referee/Official. That same year, they began working at Optimizing Systems LLC, first as an Associate, then as an Operations Manager, and finally as Vice President. In 2011, they were a Supply Chain Coordinator at DHL GLOBAL FORWARDING, where they were a Go Green Champion. In 2018, they worked as a Manager at Networks PDX, where they were involved in network and wifi, smart home and office, and automation and security. In 2019, they began working as an Independent Quality Provider (backup/support team for Kate Osterlund) at BabyQuip.

Evan Osterlund obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from Oregon State University between 2004 and 2008, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Philosophy from Oregon State University between 2003 and 2007. In 2009, they obtained the Climate Masters at Work certification from The Resource Innovation Group.
