Guillermo de la Monja

Guillermo De la Monja is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations management across multiple companies in the steel industry. Currently serving as Chief Operations Officer at both Optimus Steel, LLC and WMC since May 2022, Guillermo previously held the position of Director General / General Manager at GrafTech International from June 2018 to April 2022. Additionally, Guillermo was Operations Director at DeAcero for 18 years, overseeing six plants and a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Energy Management and Renewable Sources from Tecnológico de Monterrey (2012-2013), a Master's degree in Quality Systems and Productivity from Tecnológico de Monterrey (2009-2011), and a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Guadalajara (1986-1991).
