John Beaton

John Beaton has extensive experience in the steel industry with a focus on process operational consulting and project management. Currently serving as a Process Operational Consultant for Optimus Steel, LLC since December 2021, John previously held roles such as Melt Shop Operational & Technology Consultant at Bayou Steel Group and Executive Manager at Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A., where responsibilities included continuous casting process specification and layout. John managed CAPEX projects at Gerdau Long Steel North America and served as VP of Sales and Engineering at CCR Technologies, Inc. Prior positions include Technical Director at Accumould Canada, Director of Iron & Steel at Hatch, and Manager of Melting and Casting at Nucor Steel Yamato. John holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
