Maria Aldous

Maria Aldous is a Partner in Options Group. She joined the firm in 2017 and is based in the London office. She is key member of the firm’s London Management Committee, Global Electronic Trading Practice, and is responsible for the EMEA Electronic & Digital Markets team. Maria is also a key founder and core member of the OG Diverse Committee. Maria has consulted with the firm’s clients on all aspects of their business, especially growth and restructuring. She has had an impeccable track record in advising the C Suite of firms on the competitor landscape and the correct positioning of their businesses, as well as having placed hundreds of the most talented, best in class professionals around the globe. Maria also partners with Options Group’s 19 global product teams on the execution of international mandates while also working closely with the firm’s research and strategy division – OGIQ – to deliver clients bespoke competitive intelligence and human capital advisory. In this regard, Maria and her team have been instrumental in providing key insight on all issues relating to executive assessment, on-boarding, inclusion and diversity management.

Prior to Options Group, Maria previously co-founded MCL Search in 2012, a firm specializing in the FIC Electronic Trading and Financial Trading Technology space that was acquired by Options Group in 2017. Maria brings extensive experience in the Financial Markets, having spent the past 20 years focused on electronic trading, digital payments, financial technology start-ups, data science and more recently the evolving crypto and blockchain space. Maria had previous stints at Brookleigh Search and Tullett & Tokyo where she began her career in Human Resources.
