Javier Villar Rivas

Javier Villar Rivas has extensive experience in the television and media industry. Javier started their career as a DTV Interactive apps Engineer at Telefónica in 1998. Javier then worked as a Digital TV Engineering Consultant at ISH-KNRW from 2001 to 2002. From 2000 to 2014, they held various roles at ONO, including Head of Conditional Access Sys and Head of TV Technology Team. At Vodafone, they were the TV Technology Manager from 2014 to 2017, where they led technical integrations and architecture in the TV Services Group. Currently, they work at Optiva Media, where they initially served as a TV Architecture Principal Consultant and is currently the Director of Customer Solutions, focusing on customer needs and promoting development and services.

Javier Villar Rivas obtained a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid between 1991 and 1997. Currently, they are an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Art History at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. starting from 2017.
