Sascha Kienitz

Sascha Kienitz has a diverse work experience, primarily in engineering and business development roles. They are currently the Director of Business Development US at Optris, where they focus on expanding the business of infrared temperature sensing solutions in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Sensor Development & Measurement Services at Polytech from 2020 to 2022. They also held the position of Head of Sensor Development at fos4X GmbH, an acquired company by Polytech, from 2018 to 2020. Before that, they worked as an R&D Engineer at fos4X GmbH from 2017 to 2018.

Sascha has also gained engineering experience through internships at companies such as BMW of North America, LLC in 2015, Emerson Process Management in 2014, and BMW Group in 2013. Additionally, they had a tutoring role at TU München in 2011 and a student employee position at Optris in 2010. They started their professional career with an internship at Porsche in 2007.

Sascha Kienitz is currently a Ph.D. student at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik. They previously earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the same field from the same university between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik from the Technical University of Munich, graduating in 2014.
