Jeff Hastings

Jeff Hastings is a seasoned software engineering leader currently serving as Sr Director of Software Engineering at Optum since April 2016. In this role, Jeff provides software development leadership for EMR integration products, leveraging standards such as X12, FHIR, HL7, and Da Vinci to enhance functionalities including prior authorization and provider search. Prior experience includes roles at UnitedHealth Group as Director of Software Engineering, and Diligent Board Member Services as Vice President of Software Development. Jeff also held the position of Director of Product Development at Allscripts, where development of a certified MU2 EHR product was a key focus. Additional expertise encompasses consulting, technology management, and product development in various healthcare settings, bolstered by a Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University.
