Cphr Janet Olsen

Janet Olsen, CPHR, has a diverse work experience in human resources. Janet currently holds the position of Global Head of Human Resources at Opus Fund Services since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at The Citco Group Limited from 2011 to 2021, where they held various senior roles, such as Senior Vice President of HR Business Partnering for North America & Caribbean, Senior Vice President of HR Operations for Canada, and Vice President of HR Operations in Halifax. Janet has also gained experience as a Human Resources Generalist at Novartis in 2009 and as an Employment Consultant at Expertise Limited from 2007 to 2009. Before that, they worked as a Resourcing Consultant at CIBC in 2005, a Recruiter at Robertson Surrette in 2004, a Human Resources Administrator at Nova Scotia Power in 2003, and a Staffing Coordinator at Adecco Employment Services from 2002 to 2003.

Janet Olsen, CPHR, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, which they obtained from Dalhousie University from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their undergraduate studies, they have pursued several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In June 2014, they obtained their CPHR certification from CPHR Nova Scotia. Furthermore, in August 2020, they became a certified facilitator for "Better Conversations Everyday" through the Center for Creative Leadership. Most recently, in February 2022, they obtained the certification of a "Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner" from Prosci.
