Charbel Chucri

Charbel Chucri is currently a Research Scholar at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) since September 2022 and has been a Competitive Programming Team Member at the American University of Beirut since February 2019. As a team member, Charbel has notably represented the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and earned the LCPC Gold Medal three times, as well as qualifying for the regional ACPC three times and for the ICPC World Finals in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, Charbel has experience as an Undergraduate Researcher, contributing to a randomized algorithm for the min-cost 3-nodes matching with delays problem. Previous experience includes roles as a Programming Lab Assistant and Software Engineer Intern at Meta and Murex, respectively. Charbel holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from EPFL (2022-2025) and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the American University of Beirut (2018-2022).
