Quais Taraki

Quais Taraki currently serves as Senior Vice President of Data & AI at Oracle Cloud, a position held since September 2017 after previously functioning as Vice President of Compute. In this role, Quais oversees Cloud Compute services and manages a diverse team across multiple regions. Prior to Oracle, Quais contributed as an Advisor to Microsoft Ventures focusing on machine learning and cloud technologies, and co-founded Bonegoot, a startup specializing in recommendations through machine learning. Additional experience includes various technical leadership positions at Amazon related to Alexa and FireTV, as well as roles at Microsoft in Xbox development. Quais began a career in technology with foundational positions, including Head of R&D at the University of Waterloo’s ASIC Design Group, and completed a BASc in Honors Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
