Bethany Stone

Chief Operating Officer at Orange County Library System

Bethany Stone has a diverse work experience in the library field. Bethany started their career in 2000 at Bloomington Public Library as a Young Adult Librarian. In 2001, they joined Orange County Library System as an Assistant Manager and later became a Branch Manager in 2004. Bethany then transitioned to the role of Youth Services Manager in 2017, and in 2018, they became the Chief Branch Officer. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at Orange County Library System, starting in October 2022.

Bethany Stone completed their high school education at Pearl City High School from 1989 to 1993. Bethany then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they continued their education at the same university, completing their Master of Science degree in Library Science from 1998 to 1999.
