Mikaela Moracco-Schelp currently serves as a Prevention Services Social Worker for Orange County (N.C.) Government since April 2020. Prior to this role, Mikaela worked as an After-School Counselor at Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA from August 2013 to June 2019, where responsibilities included leading activities for children aged 4-5 and supervising field trips. Additionally, Mikaela gained experience as a Student Intern at The Center for New North Carolinians, focusing on case management and conducting qualitative research on environmental justice. Earlier, Mikaela provided care as an In Home Nanny for a 16-month-old child. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a study abroad experience at Universidad de Montevideo in Liberal Arts and Sciences. Mikaela graduated from Carolina Friends School with a High School Diploma.
