Covid-19 Case Investigator at Orange County (N.C.) Government

Teresa Rivera, MSW, LCSWA, is a seasoned psychotherapist and founder of PachaYaku Therapy, PLLC, since September 2021. Rivera has served as a COVID-19 Case Investigator for the Orange County (N.C.) Government since August 2020, and previously held roles including Interim Project Manager at the UNC Refugee Mental Health and Wellness Initiative and Psychiatric Emergency Services Intern at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Rivera's experience also includes working as a COVID-19 Contact Tracer and serving as the Director of Latinx Services at the Compass Center for Women and Families, where leadership focused on outreach and support for domestic violence victims. Rivera holds a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earned in May 2021, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same institution, completed in May 2018.
