Rachel Plast has extensive experience in event management and administrative roles. Currently, Rachel serves as a Business Officer and Administrative Specialist for Orange County (N.C.) Government since February 2019. Prior experience includes working as the Director of Catering and Events at The Root Cellar Cafe and Catering from February 2016 to February 2019 and as Events & Programming Manager at 61 Local in 2014, where Rachel oversaw public and private events and restaurant operations. Earlier in their career, Rachel held positions at the Food Research Institute and Slow Food UW, gaining valuable experience in administrative tasks and community engagement through meal preparation. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Community and Environmental Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned in 2013.
