Rory Salimbene serves as the Chief Facilities Officer for Orange County Public Schools, the eighth largest public K-12 school district in the United States, managing all aspects of facilities strategy, planning, real estate, construction, renovation, and maintenance since December 2019. Previously, Rory held roles as Senior Facilities Executive Director and Program Manager, Capital Renewal within the same district, overseeing significant design and construction programs exceeding hundreds of millions of dollars. Rory's extensive background includes experience as Construction Program Manager and Facilities Maintenance Manager at Hillsborough County Public Schools, as well as Senior Project Manager at Sempra Energy, and a distinguished military career as Director of Public Works in the U.S. Army. Educational credentials include a BS in Applied Science and Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MS in Engineering, Construction Management from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from Northern Illinois University.
