Mitch Benson

Mitch Benson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations management and engineering. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Empire Portfolio Group since March 2021, Mitch oversees construction, facilities, IT, data and analytics, and inventory management for over 65 locations across multiple states. Previously, Mitch held the role of Vice President of Business Operations at the same company, which is a key franchisee of Orangetheory Fitness. In addition to a multi-unit ownership role at Orangetheory Fitness since May 2017, Mitch has a robust engineering background with positions at Ovintiv, Encana Corporation, Newfield Exploration, Ascent Solar, and Chevron Corporation, where responsibilities ranged from production and drilling engineering to manufacturing optimization. Mitch holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
