Louis-Pierre Gagnon, MASc, PEng, PMP, currently serves as the Head of Mining Engineering at Orano, overseeing a team of geologists and mining engineers involved in operations across Niger, Kazakhstan, Canada, and various projects in Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Namibia. Previously, Louis-Pierre was the General Manager of Mine Projects at Orano Canada, where leadership contributed to the development and testing of the innovative Sabre Mining Method for uranium extraction and conducted comprehensive studies on various mining methodologies and waste management. Louis-Pierre holds a Master of Applied Science in Engineering with a focus on Blasting from Laurentian University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining, and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, both from McGill University, along with an Advanced High School Diploma from West Island College.
