Zakariae El Marzouki

Zakariae El Marzouki has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and responsibilities in the mining and energy industry. Currently, they hold the position of VP Strategy & Development at Orano Mining since October 2021. Prior to this, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Badrakh Energy - Mongolia, a subsidiary of Orano, from November 2018 to August 2021. Before that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at SOMAÏR - Niger, another subsidiary of Orano, from September 2016 to September 2018. Zakariae also gained valuable experience as the Development Manager - Precious Metals at Groupe Managem from November 2014 to June 2016. Zakariae began their career at Areva in 2008, where they took on various project management and leadership roles, including Chief of Mining Extraction at Imouraren S.A. from January 2013 to August 2014. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in strategy, development, finance, and project management in the mining and energy sector.

Zakariae El Marzouki attended Lycée Chaptal from 2001 to 2003, where they pursued Classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles (CPGE) with a focus on MP*. Zakariae then enrolled at École Polytechnique from 2003 to 2006 and obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur. Later, they studied at Mines Paris from 2006 to 2008, where they earned another Diplôme d'ingénieur.
