Andrew S. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andrew currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Orbian since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at myPOS from November 2018 to March 2020. Andrew also worked as the Interim Head of Finance at Starling Bank from February 2018 to September 2018.
Prior to these roles, Andrew worked at Citi for a significant period of time, assuming various positions. Andrew was the Treasury and Trade Solutions CFO from September 2015 to November 2016. From November 2008 to August 2015, they served as the Global Banking CFO, EMEA, overseeing financial reporting and regulatory submissions. Before that, they were the IBD CAO, EMEA from June 2006 to October 2008, responsible for managing finance, administration, operations, technology, and risk for Citi's IBD business in the EMEA region. Prior to these roles, Andrew held the positions of Financial Controller, IBD EMEA from June 2002 to June 2006 and Finance Manager, IBD EMEA from May 2000 to June 2002.
Andrew's early career includes managerial positions at Schroders Investment Bank from November 1995 to April 2000 and GNI Limited (Futures and Commodities Broker) from January 1994 to November 1995. Andrew started their career at PwC in October 1987, working as a Manager in the Financial Services Division in Business Assurance, focusing on audit, consultancy, and privatisation work, until December 1993.
Andrew S. has a strong educational background in Economics and Accounting. Andrew attended Westminster School from 1979 to 1983. Andrew then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and Accounting at the University of Bristol, where they studied from 1984 to 1987.
Later, Andrew furthered their education by earning a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics and Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1990.
In 2016, Andrew obtained the prestigious certification of Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
