Cynthia Tseng

Cynthia Tseng has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Cynthia started their career in 2011 as a Social Studies Teacher with Teach For America, where they developed and taught curriculum for 5th-grade students and supported a team of teachers. Cynthia also served as a School Manager, overseeing operations, training staff, and organizing community events.

From 2013 to 2014, Cynthia worked as an ELA Teacher at KNOVA Learning, where they developed and implemented policies, led academic intervention plans, and taught ELA curriculum for middle school students.

Cynthia then joined Connections Academy in 2014 as an Advisory Teacher, providing support and academic advising for 9th and 12th-grade students in a virtual learning environment. Cynthia monitored attendance, participation, and academic achievement metrics to improve student outcomes.

In 2019, Cynthia joined Oregon Charter Academy as a Graduation Advisor, where they provided academic and postsecondary support for senior students. Cynthia also onboarded new families, provided skills development, and acted as a bridge between students and other stakeholders.

Currently, they are working as an Academic Success Coach at Orbis Education. Cynthia provides proactive advising, coaching, and general support for nursing students, ensuring their success at Concordia St. Paul's Columbia River site.

Cynthia Tseng received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Harvard University in the year 2010. Cynthia then pursued further education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, where they obtained a Master of Education - MEd degree in the field of Master's of Science in Education.
