Instructional Designer III at Orbis Education

Kelly Brown has a diverse work experience history. Kelly started their career in 2003 as a Teacher at Hamilton Southeastern Schools, where they also served as a Basketball Cheerleading Coach from 2005 to 2009. In 2006, they joined Footlite Musicals Inc as an Entr'acte Board Member, where they were responsible for membership recruitment and retention. Kelly held this role until 2011. In 2008, Kelly became a Membership Education Advisor for Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, where they focused on scholarship, sisterhood, and retention of membership until 2010. In 2012, they started their own business as the Owner and Curriculum Writer at Teachers Pay Teachers, where they collaborated with other teachers to create and promote educational resources. Kelly's most recent position is with Orbis Education, where they have worked as an Instructional Designer since 2019. Kelly'sresponsibilities include developing online educational programs, focusing on student engagement and innovation.

Kelly Brown completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Indiana University Bloomington from 1999 to 2003. In 2009, they enrolled in Ball State University and obtained a Masters degree in Educational Psychology in 2011. Kelly has also obtained various certifications, including Designing Online Learning Experiences from ISTE in July 2022, Inclusive Leadership: The Power of Workplace Diversity from the University of Colorado in May 2021, ADDIE Training and Development Trainer's Guide from Udemy in July 2020, Instructional Design for ELearning from Udemy in June 2020, e-Learning Ecologies: Innovative Approaches to Teaching and Learning for the Digital Age from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in April 2020, High Ability Certification from Ball State University in June 2011, Professional Educator License from the Indiana Department of Education in July 2011, and ATI Certified Proctor from ATI Nursing Education in May 2020.
