Katharina Lo is a Principal Scientist II at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) since January 2023, focusing on the development of novel platforms for target identification and validation while engaging with stakeholders to align project milestones and business needs. Prior to NIBR, Katharina served as Team Lead in Cell Biology at Gyroscope Therapeutics from December 2019 to January 2023, where responsibilities included leading a team to create multicellular functional assays and managing academic collaborations. Katharina's earlier experience includes roles as a Research Scientist in Retinal Cell Biology, Senior Research Fellow, and Research Fellow at UCL, and obtaining a PhD in Cellular Biology from the University of Münster, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s in related fields.
