Jared Jones is a certified public accountant and certified management accountant who currently serves as the vice president of finance at Orbit. Jared has over three years of experience in corporate accounting and finance, and has been with Orbit since July 2017. In their role as corporate controller, they are responsible for overseeing the monthly financial statement reporting processes for all company entities, review all financial statement allowances, advise senior management on developing a sound business plan, drive business alignment by frequent interaction with directors, managers, and staff in various departments, establish and enforce financial controls within the company, and prepare the annual budget. Jared also presents monthly results to executive management, quarterly and annual results to all associates, and is accountable for ensuring that adequate policies and procedures are in place. Additionally, they assist in reviewing tax processes and compliance, protects the company with a sound credit and collections policy, and oversees all work relating to external audits in the annual review of the company financial records. Using information gathered from monthly summaries of variance in actual vs forecasted financial results, they work with management to determine an action plan to correct any variances incurred.

Jared has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Weber State University and a master's degree in accounting from Weber State University. Jared is also certified by the Institute of Management Accountants and the State of Utah.
