Richard Aumann began their work experience in 2007 as an Assistant Research at GE Global Research. Richard later joined the Technical University Munich as a Research Associate in 2007, where they worked until 2011. In 2008, Richard co-founded Orcan Energy AG and took on the role of Co-Founder and Key Account, which they continue to hold.
Richard Aumann attended the Technical University of Munich from 2001 to 2007, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Richard successfully completed their studies and was awarded a Diplom in Mechanical Engineering.

Orcan Energy is the leader in waste heat recovery technology.Orcan Energy GmbH was founded in 2008, as a spin-out from the Technical University of Munich (“TUM”). Orcan’s ePack offers a compact, service-reduced and cost- efficient “plug-and-play” waste heat power generator based on ORC-Technology. Spe- cific patented innovations enable Orcan topopularize the technology on the mass mar- ket. At the beginning of 2013, Orcan gained sponsorships from the Exist-Research- Transfer-Aid of the Federal Government of Germany and additional grants from the “Wissensfabrik” and various resources from the TUM.
