Melissa Laphen

Melissa Laphen has held a variety of roles in the consumer goods industry since 2002. Melissa began their career at The Indeka Group as a Line Coordinator. From 2006 to 2016, they worked at ACI Brands, Inc. in roles such as Category Manager - Fashion and Production Coordinator. From 2016 to 2019, they were the School Marketing Manager and Product Manager at ACCO Brands. Most recently, they were the Senior Marketing Manager at Upper Canada Soap & Candle Makers, where they were responsible for leading the strategy and product development of key categories and brands. Melissa also single-handedly developed, sourced, curated and launched a new category of Hair Appliances & Accessories in-line at Walmart USA for 2022, worth approximately $17M st retail in year 1. Currently, Melissa is the Account Director at Orchard Custom Beauty.

Melissa Laphen attended Sheridan College from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Business Marketing with a focus on marketing. In May 2019, they also obtained a certification in New Manager Foundations from LinkedIn.
