Leland Nichols has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Leland currently holds the position of Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at Orchid LLC since December 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Board Member, Chief Executive Officer, and Interim and Fractional Roles at Semi-Retired, where they added value and enjoyed their work. Leland also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Shadow Systems starting from March 2018. Before that, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer and a Board Member at Aqua-Leisure Recreation, LLC from December 2021 to October 2022. Leland held the position of President and CEO, as well as a Board Member, at Airhead Sports Group from October 2018 to December 2021. Additionally, they worked as a Strategic Consultant and Board Member at a company specializing in hardware, construction, industrial supply, outdoor recreation, and consumer durables from November 2017 to October 2018. Leland had a senior leadership role at Remington Arms Company, where they served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Firearms and Accessories from December 2014 to October 2017, and as the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Handguns from November 2012 to November 2014. Prior to that, they were the Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Rinnai from October 2011 to November 2012. Leland also held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of the Firearms Division at Smith & Wesson from 2005 to 2011. Lastly, they served as a Director on the Board of Directors at USA Shooting, the National Governing Body for the Olympic Shooting Sports, from January 2007 to October 2010.

Leland Nichols obtained a Certificate in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1996. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Economics and received an AB from The University of Georgia between 1981 and 1984. Leland's educational journey began with a Diploma from Wayne County High School, where they completed a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program from 1977 to 1980.
