Anne Whittington is an experienced Economic Resiliency Planner at the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments, focusing on economic development in Linn, Benton, Lincoln, and Lane Counties since February 2021. Previous roles include hosting discussions for rural women entrepreneurs at Reinventing Rural and serving as a Small Business Advisor and Instructor at the LBCC Small Business Development Center, where significant support was provided to startup businesses during the pandemic. Additionally, Anne managed a $2.7 million grant at LB iLearn Campus and assisted small businesses in marketing at Linn Benton Community College. Anne holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Oregon State University.

Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCOG) has been serving the Linn, Benton, and Lincoln County region for over 50 years. OCWCOG consists of three main departments: Senior and Disability Services, Community Service Programs, and Community and Economic Development. Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments is committed to our Mission: to promote a thriving region through service, connectivity, and innovation. Geographically, OCWCOG spans a Region from the crest of the Oregon Cascades Mountain range to the Pacific Ocean and includes all of Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties. OCWCOG, on behalf of the member governments, carries out a variety of local, state, and federal programs. Most funding is provided by way of contracts to administer specific services. As an Oregon intergovernmental entity, OCWCOG can provide for, or on behalf of, its member governments any service that they are authorized to provide. Whether it is helping a business find appropriate capital, helping seniors and persons with disabilities plan for independent living, or coordinating local road improvement priorities, OCWCOG offers these and many other innovative services to the local governments and residents of Benton, Lincoln, and Linn Counties.
