MacKenzie Barron-Tai

Macro Social Work Intern at Oregon Child Development Coalition

Mackenzie Barron-Tai is a dedicated public health and social work professional with extensive experience in research and community engagement. Currently serving as a Public Health Intern at OHSU Health Experiences Research Network, Mackenzie contributes to qualitative research projects on young adult cancer and veterans' firearm injuries. As a Macro Social Work Intern at Oregon Child Development Coalition, efforts are focused on promoting equity and wellbeing through trauma-informed practices. Furthermore, Mackenzie holds the role of Program Assistant for the RWJF Social Work Health Futures Lab Fellowship, supporting the development of a nationwide initiative aimed at advancing social equity. Mackenzie has also gained teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and has actively participated in anti-racist education as a Graduate Peer Facilitator at OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. Mackenzie holds dual master's degrees in Public Health and Social Work from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and Portland State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Human Development from Oregon State University.
