Adrienne Berry

Council at Oregon Food Bank

Adrienne has been a food systems leader in Eastern Oregon for over 10 years. She comes from the Navajo Nation Tribe in the Dine Nation but currently lives on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation. Through her time working at the Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center, she participated and led a food sovereignty assessment to better understand the food system in the La Grande/Pendleton area. She also worked with adults and children around garden education to increase household food security in an area subjected to food apartheid. Currently, Adrienne is building her own business based on cultivating native plants and creating plant medicine to create holistic food security in her community.
