Edna has a long history as a health-care interpreter and language-access advocate in Swahili-speaking immigrant and refugee communities. Edna has experience in health-care work as a certified community-health worker in the State of Oregon and a traditional health worker under the office of the Oregon Health Authority. This all makes her passionate about working toward a community that doesn’t have to worry about how they will access food. Edna loves the outdoors and has participated in local community gardening ventures, teaching people how to garden and sharing her produce with the larger community.
