Bridget Barnes

Bridget Barnes, PhD, MBA, CHCIO has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Bridget spent four years as the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), where they led a department of 750 technology professionals and managed a budget of over $150 million. In this role, they provided strategic direction and operational management for all computer and communication systems at OHSU. Bridget is a technical expert in information technology and has a strong ability to inspire and lead teams. Prior to their role at OHSU, they served as the Director of University Applications, where they were responsible for the maintenance and operation of the administrative information system architecture at OHSU. Bridget has specific expertise in Oracle Financials, Procurement, Human Resources, and Grants and Facilities Management.

Bridget Barnes, PhD, MBA, CHCIO, earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Engineering Management (Information Security) from Portland State University in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained their Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) degree in 2003 and their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2002, both from Portland State University. Additionally, Bridget Barnes holds a certification as a Certified Chief Health Information Officer (CHCIO) from CHIME.
