Deirdre Anderson

Deirdre Anderson is an experienced professional in bioengineering and materials science, currently serving as an Assistant Staff Scientist at Oregon Health and Science University since January 2010. Greater than a decade of research experience encompasses roles as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate, focusing on cell characterization and the biological integration of cardiovascular implants. Deirdre's expertise includes managing a BSL-2 culture facility, designing experiments with micropatterned endothelial cells, and collaborating internationally on novel biomaterials. Additionally, consultancy work with Madorra Inc. started in October 2017, and prior roles include engineering education consultant at Rice University and research positions with FDA, Michigan Technological University, UC Berkeley, and Cornell University. Deirdre holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
