Mithila Handu is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in the field of biological sciences, currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Oregon Health and Science University since February 2018, where Mithila co-leads a multidisciplinary team focused on identifying novel epigenetic markers in prostate cancers. Previous roles include a Consultant at Madorra Inc. and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Oregon Health and Science University, where Mithila managed studies on molecular mechanisms in obesity and Fanconi anemia. Mithila earned a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, with a thesis on SUMOylation in Drosophila immune response, alongside a Master's degree in Molecular and Human Genetics from Banaras Hindu University and a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and Biochemistry from St. Xavier's College.
