Shelley Tworoger

Shelley Tworoger has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of oncological sciences and population science. Shelley is currently working at Oregon Health & Science University as the Head of Division of Oncological Sciences and the Associate Director of Population Science. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Center Director of Population Science at Moffitt Cancer Center from 2017 to 2024. Tworoger also served as an Associate Professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 2013 to 2021. Shelley has a strong background in academia and held multiple positions, including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, at Harvard Medical School from 2003 to 2017. Shelley was also involved in research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 2003 to 2005.

Shelley Tworoger has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington, which they obtained from 1993 to 1998. Shelley then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Epidemiology from the same university, completing it from 1998 to 2000. Shelley continued their education at the University of Washington and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Epidemiology from 2000 to 2003.
