Sharon Harmon

President & CEO at Oregon Humane Society

Sharon Harmon has been an animal lover their whole life. Sharon has worked with animals in some capacity for most of their adult life. Sharon started out as an Animal Care Supervisor at the Marin Humane Society in 1981. Sharon then became the Chair of the Board at the National Federation of Humane Societies in 2009. In December 2011, they became the President & CEO of the Oregon Humane Society. Sharon is passionate about their work and cares deeply about the welfare of animals. Sharon is a strong advocate for animal rights and works tirelessly to make sure that all animals are treated humanely.

Sharon Harmon has a certificate in nonprofit business and management from The Johns Hopkins University, a bachelor's degree in zoology and pre-vet medicine from Oregon State University, and certification from the Society of Animal Welfare Administrators as a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator.
