Oliver Droppers

Legislative Analyst at Oregon legislative Assembly

Oliver Droppers, PhD, is an experienced policy researcher and analyst currently serving as the Deputy Director for Policy Research at the Oregon Legislative Policy and Research Office (LPRO) since November 2019. In this role, Oliver directs research activities and develops policies to ensure agency operations align with professional standards for policy research and analysis. Additionally, Oliver has served as a legislative analyst at LPRO since January 2017, providing nonpartisan research and committee management services for the Oregon Legislative Assembly. Previously, Oliver held positions at the Oregon Health Authority, including Director of the Medicaid Advisory Committee and Policy Analyst, as well as serving as the CHIPRA Project Director. Oliver holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Health Systems and Policy and a Master's Degree in Public Health from Portland State University.
