Jordan Anderson

Director, Grants & Strategic Initiatives at OPB

Jordan Anderson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the non-profit sector. They began their career in 2000 at Mercy Corps, where they worked as a Senior Program Resources Officer, developing privately-funded programs and successfully raising millions of dollars in grant funds from various organizations. They also held the role of Systems Specialist / Development Operations Manager, where they developed efficient systems for managing donation information.

In 2006, Jordan worked as a Consultant at the American Red Cross, providing leadership for a program serving those affected by the tsunami in Sri Lanka. They managed a team and advised partner agency staff in developing a strategic plan for the region.

From 2007 to 2011, Jordan worked at Mercy Corps as a Senior Program Officer, focusing on global engagement. They directed the development of the Mercy Corps Action Center, managed project teams, and supported relationships with global partner agencies.

Since 2012, Jordan has been actively involved with the Forest Park Conservancy, serving as a Committee Member for Stewardship, Strategy & Development, and Communications. They also held the roles of Former Board Chair and Former Board Member.

Most recently, Jordan joined Oregon Public Broadcasting in 2011 as the Director of Grants & Strategic Initiatives.

Throughout their career, Jordan has demonstrated strong leadership skills, effective project management, and the ability to successfully raise funds and develop partnerships.

Jordan Anderson attended the University of Chicago from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a BA degree in Sociology with a focus on Globalization.
